A Word From Barbara
As the hot summer days steam upward toward the 100-degree mark, my mind wanders toward the cool, crisp Irish fall that I’ll be savoring for a week at the beginning of October when I go on Politics & Prose’s eight-day literary tour of Ireland. A college roommate is coming along even though our alma mater is offering a similar trip at the same time. We roomed together when we were students, but now that we’re single adults, we now indulge ourselves in the luxury of separate bedrooms. However, while that single supplement will cost us $575, on our alma mater’s similar tour, the same supplement would be $1475. There’s a also a large discrepancy between the two tours in the total cost; P&P’s charge is $3200 less than our alma mater’s, as P&P’s tour is two days shorter.
Most of all, I’m looking forward to our four days during the Dublin Theater Festival, which will feature 553 performances in 25 venues. Four years ago, my roommate and I went to London to see four plays in three days and it was a memorable, rhapsodic trip. The Dublin Festival’s 2012 October program will be announced soon on their website - www.dublintheatrefestival.com.
I hope many of our customers will join us for this completely unique literary trip. Click here for more details.
